Patricia Zarate
Artist Statement:
I am interested in exploring the perception of color and light through simple abstract shapes. Using color relationships, line, pattern, and placement, I activate the space within and around the support. My ideas evolve through sensory observation, memory, nature, and art history. I employ minimalist and conceptual strategies such as pairing, seriality, repetition, pattern, and uniformity.
