This portfolio consists of offset lithographs by 30 of the 39 founding members of American Abstract Artists. Vaclav Vytlacil worked as technical advisor to the AAA members. In addition to the 30 prints, the portfolio includes a frontispiece and an index of all 39 artists included in the organization’s inaugural exhibition at the Squibb Galleries. 32 pieces, 12 x 9 1/4 inches, printed by Cane Press in New York City. The edition was printed instead a catalogue for the first American Abstract Artists exhibition at the Squibb Galleries. The artwork was intended to supplement the exhibition rather than document it. 500 copies were printed and sold for 50 cents at the Squibb Galleries. Not many are known to be in existence. All of the prints are untitled.
